Native handcrafts and folk art are a great way to personalize your home. You can find many items for your kitchen carved out of wood. A friend of mine got hand carved wooden spoons and forks of all sizes on our trip. The giant spoons are great for stirring a large kettle or for hanging on the wall as decoration. On a previous trip to Mexico I saw many carved, colorful masks which makes for a dramatic look on any wall.
