I was interviewed for an article in Rug News and Design. They wanted to know about my process, how I approach a project, what types of carpets I use, etc.
When choosing the floor covering it depends on the look I will be doing. If I will be using a Persian carpet then I start there first. I will have the clients meet me at the showroom and have them participate in the selection. This is important for many reasons: Oriental carpets come in so many designs and colors that I want the client to choose the one that speaks to them. I like to use the carpet as the foundation for the room and build from there. Also, an oriental carpet is something that the client may have the rest of their lives so it is important that they choose the one they love and they can later pass down thru the family.
