Christopher Renzo of Scalamandré visited the Ohio Design Center to show the latest introductions in their line. One of the hot looks in New York is bringing back the look and feel of being at Grandma’s. Think of the comfort of a nubby knitted sweater while sitting on a classic red silk velvet chair. Other classic designs that have been revived are a bamboo, ferns, and floral chintz. These patterns have an updated color palette of turquoise, purple, green, red, or gray.
Tribal influenced patterns continue to give an exotic look to any scheme and one of my favorites is Chi’en Dragon.
