American kitchens have gotten away from the popular European look and has emerged as more modern with an efficient use of space and more thoughtful functional organization.
Cabinet design is either a slab front door or a Shaker style. Granite countertops are passé and quartz is very in. Backsplashes are either subway or mosaic tile. Stainless steel appliances are being replaced with a black or white glass front.
Appliances are streamlined, builtin, quieter and more efficient. The steam convection oven has just about replaced the microwave oven. Food cooked in a steam convection oven is more nutritious and heats better. Induction cooktops are energy efficient and do not heat up the kitchen.
The kitchen continues to be the hub of the house where our families and friends gather and where we nourish our body and soul.
