I attended a Wine and Chocolate event at Baker Showroom at the Ohio Design Center. Baker Furniture was featuring Thomas Pheasant’s new introductions of upholstery called Paris. The unique feature of this new line is called Modern Stitching. It’s a padded look with stitching. I would say it is a modern version of tufting. The styling has very clean lines but the comfort level was not very good with a deep seat and a low back.
Included in the introductions are an upholstered bed and lounge. The Cleo bed is also available in the Modern Stitching.
Pheasant’s St. Germain side and arm chairs also have the option of Modern Stitching. The side chair is 19 1/2″ wide x 25″ deep x 35″ high. Very small! They will probably be fine for smaller people with a tiny dining area.
